MAT-04 in SSL 9k?

I really like my SSL 9k preamps. They kick ass. I have a couple of MAT-04s. I was wondering If I could use them in building 2 more channels of preamp. I know I would have to would it out so that they can interface to the boards, but does anyone see a problem with using these? I could make four channels of preamp with them.

I think the MAT-04 has lower gain and a good bit more noise than the MAT-02.
