does anybody know what the ratio is on the input transformer of a melcor AML-27? thanks

Do you have the schematic? It says 18dB which is about 1:8.
cheers!

the input transformer has the numbers 400-20 on the top. do you have the original schematic? thanks mitsos

Sorry, it's actually a MAP posted here.

He says it's the same though, just with phantom resistors, so I had it files under melcor.  Should be the same. One way to confirm, inject a known signal in it and measure the voltage output.

Also has the GME schematic there.  Seach the forum, there is lots of melcor stuff.

gar381, have you tried the input transformer in parallel=higher ratio? does the 1731 work ok in this configuration?

This is a Melcor AML27 card bolted to a 500 sled.  Note the bottom switch 150/600.  This is a primary
series/parallel  switch.  I like the sound of parallel best.

Hope this helps ;) :)

Nice,  Is that, yellow and orange together for XLR pin 3?  red and brown together for XLR pin 2?  blue to 0V?  do you still need to use the 610 resistor? thanks gar

oops! looks like yellow and red (edge conn 5 and 7)=XLR pin 3,  orange and brown (edge conn 6 and 8)= XLR pin 2?  Arty
