Ok got the capsule working %100! Didn't realise the grille had to be on b4 you test! Moisture, resistive problems displays spitting noise, general noise is an earthing problem ie the grille has to be screwed on otherwise the magnetic field is not shielded!

I'll posts results of both mics on mp3 soon but the initial impression is that the neumann capsule has better clarity in the top end.

Just A/B'd them and the difference is nite and day! The only thing I've done so far is change capsules. The Neumann Capsule is sweeter and brighter and full of character.

Hi, Did you ever make an a/b recording of your two microphones then?

I would be interested to hear the difference.

And HG, how the heck did you manage to get a good-condition capsule from a 67 just like that? Are they selling more??
