Very nice ! Can it be inserted into a GSSL ?
I'm sure it could be done. Mixbuzz is similar to gssl. It looks like the dry signal would be inserted from NE5534 pin 6 to cnb1. Positive leg of the following 22u cap to cnb2 for the dry in. The output not sure because the gssl uses 2 5532 to balance signal where mixbuzz uses a Balanced line driver. You may refer to CRUSH-N-BLEND REV6 wiring implementation.

Just started to get interested in this project and couldn‘t find any build pictures taken from the right angle, so no idea:
would there actually be room left to put it „inside“ the MixBuzz500 (maybe by shortening the standoffs a tad and squeeze in the controls to reside between those other knobs (I‘m guessing: no)?

No there is no room to front mount a mix knob. It had to be an adjacent module.
