hi all, new here ,
i have a yamaha mg 16/4 which i would like to mod so i can have direct outs pre eq. to take to a zoom r16 multitrack recorder. i have the circuit diagram and the best tap off point seems to be the HPF switch. not sure if i should take the signal before the cap to the eq stage or after it. anyone tried this mod. i know i could use the insert jacks with a suitably modified lead but as the desk will be doing FOH as well i will be getting the post eq signal. i also know i could use a mic splitter but trying to avoid that if i can due to the number of leads i will have lying around the desk. the signal post eq to the insert jacks is at line level so should havew plenty of gain post head amp.
