These are equivalent. Just a physical relocation. Diodes mounted on one side or the other of that terminal strip. The electrons won't know the difference.

OK, figured it out. Sorry PRR. Learn something new every day. My initial confusion about the layout was from this other posting at that site. The drawing is incorrect here
