just thought to blog these weird pickups from a rescue job out of a flooded basement,
,

here is the bass, rare double coils for this model

what is this potting compound?  well it is Bondo.  soon as we put the heat gun on it...well, you know that smell,  if you ever did auto body that is,

so how do i rewind this?

maybe just spin some wire over some posts and tape it,

turns count will be a pain,

There must be a machine does that (with fatter wire!) for motors with windings in slots. Big limp wire doughnut, wrap with tape, work it into the slots. Your local generator shop might have one, but it may not like this #66 wire.

Turns-count can be approximate. In fact you could measure the gauge, weigh the coil, then wind that weight of that gauge and it will be close enough to rock.
