Hi Guys,
A friend brought me a tube microphone he tried to mod to see if I could fix it for him.
The output capacitor is a large Mundorf Audiophile type like this.
The external tape (white wrap) was damaged by heat and one spot shows the metal underneath.
I'm not familiar with this type of capacitor. Can I leave it as is or should I rewrap the capacitor in electrical tape?
Can heat damage it?
