Hi everyone I'm new here, been lurking for a long time. I've been breaking things for a couple of years now.
I had a mxl 990 lying in a drawer for years. Took it out last week and figured I could do something with it. So far I have changed all the components in the signal path. And changed some of the values suggested here and there on the web. Kids sleeping now so I have not tested it yet only plugged it in to see of it worked.
Now my issue, I pulled two layers of mesh from the head basket. But it had some bumps from before. I was thinking if it would be possible to alter the shape of the basket while I'm at it. Similar to oktavamods version. I searched the web but couldn't find any hints as to how you go about shaping a head basket? Any thoughts?
