virgin Universal Audio trannys on the way out.
I bought some trannys like these from Andrew a year or so ago. Thanks for the info on the inputs.
Andrew came up with the half-rail-voltage solution... 2x 10k resistors, but into a spare half of a 5532, as a noninverting buffer, so that the output is low-impedance, but tracks the rails exactly... clever. -I don't know if it's original or common practice elsewhere,
Not original with Andrew, I don't think. Its common practice for virtual ground.

Peace!

I gotta part number for them, they come with the switch caps... very handy! I'll have to look it up when I get home. They're pricey ($15 each bank, $30 per 1176) but they're 4-pole instead of only 2-pole, so I paralleled up all the switching contacts, for improved reliability and noise.

I made my own PCB since it also supports the main circuit card at the front, where it would otherwise flap around a bit. The top and bottom are still completely removable with the unit still working unimpeded.

been a bit busy lately finishing off the twin and I'm happy to annouce that it's finished... I now have a perfect matched pair!!!

(Pics to follow perhaps!)
