CONGRATS...I BUILT A 4X8 PATE ABOUT 20 YRS AGO. I USED AN OLD RCA 8" WOOFER AN A JBL 2462 PHENOLIC DRVER CROSSED AT 500Hz to light it up...contact mics fed a 12ax7 pre to return it in stereo.
It sounded great BUT YOURS LOOKS WAAAY BETTER. DIGITAL REVERB PLATE SETTINGS DO NOT NOT NOT SOUND LIKE A REAL PLATE. What did you use to drive your new friend????
KOOOOOL

haha yeah it;s still so much fun to use. I compared it a lot with the plugins available. The emt140 from UAD sounds great, it sounds like a plate but when it decays it is kind of "rigid" / lifeless. With this real stuff there is so much movement and life in that tail, really a big difference.

@Gavin Pursinger thas also super cool. Dope that you have a tube pre :) The driver I made is made from a visaton speaker. I also described it in my building plan: HuntPlatePlan.pdf
