My latest project,







Integrated Trident-A range mic preamp and 1176 compressor, not just trow them in a box, but it share the output amp, variable threshold.
It's very colorful sound!

I'm using abacom sprint layout 6.
I confirm this design is works without problem, i will help if anyone want to built this.
I'm too lazy to draw schematic, may be i will make block diagram later....

did you do away with the the preamp & attenuator section of the comp ?
or what rev ver. did you base the comp off of ? Looks like two transformers

The comp is based on rev H,  but omit the  5532 section and line amp/out amp (became rev ?). It will be insert at the point between the 1st stage and 2nd/output stage of the trident circuit.
I will draw later...

The pikatron transformer (the small one) is for DI input, i'm not using output transformer.

I want to build something like this.Now i'm building NYD One Bottle and i want to add Poorman Pultec.I will use preamp like pultec's gain stage.If i do that,will i lose gain? Cause pultec has 20dB loss. I just wanted to ask.

I thought the 1176 was a fixed threshold compressor.  The input and output knobs control how hard you compress/make up, right?    Can you explain the T.Hold knob?

It's clearly shown in the schematic above in post #13. The GR control amp of the 1176 section is fed via a 250k pot.
