not a lot of Binson info here.
but hey - i just got these.
hopefully i'll be able to buy the 4 speaker coloumns to go with them.
all original.

hoping i can get my tech (or help from here???) to rebuild the premixerECHO, 8 ch. mixer/preamp, so it'll give me 8 channels of binson pre's.

and look at the "HiFi" echorecs in these racks. beautiful.

Cool deal!

For those not in the know, the Binson echo and PA were considered top notch as far as club PA's were concearned back in the sixties. The Beatles were overjoyed to find that the new club they were going to work in Hamburg had a Binson echo. I believe they recorded their first single with a Binson for a German producer.

all of piper at the gates of dawn is binson echorec. the tube models are cool, they were followed by a solid state version with a red front panel, Ive been trying to find one of those for a million years. too expensive now.

if anyone could help me figure out where to take a preamp-out from each channel (or just ideas), from looking at these pics, it'd be great.

You could probably tap off individual channel outputs from the top or wiper of the level pots (pre/post fader) - but be aware that your output impedance at this point is at least the value of the level pots, probably 100K or 1M. This means that you will need buffers in order to drive anything real from these..
