Anyone use one in the studio for the house kit? I've been looking at the two they currently offer (composite and metal). Anything that can get rid of a stand in the studio is cool by me and makes things easier. My concerns are the installation which ive read some pretty funny stories about online by people trying to balance it out and get it where they want it. And once it's installed, what do you do about the cable from the mic? I was toying with just installing an XLR port on the side of the kick. But is there a practical way of handling the cable without something like that besides putting a stand there to catch it (which im trying to get away from to begin with)?
