Hello!

Want to make a clone of Neve T1310 choke for driving Neve BA283AM output stage when only unbalanced output needed.
Find one choke on Ebay.
I'm planing to buy one, fully test it, unwind and measure. Then move this info for choke production company.

I read all tread about it here.
It's a large, gapped inductor of around 1 Henry (measures about 650mH). Resistance about 12R. Eat around 80-100mA. Looks like a simply primary winding only of 1166 trans.
This inductor gave the output stage the load it wanted to see and then the actual output signal would be taken from pin F on the BA183/283 card.

SO MY QUESTION IS:
What parameters of that choke really important for it's properly operation?

what is the core  size?

main thing you need to know is the gap,

single chamber bobbin, so just wind 1166 turns and gap it to match the current draw of the original at 20 hz,

I don't know core size at this moment. Size looks pretty close to 1166.
CJ, what do you think, is this choke just primary  winding of 1166? There are a lot of info for 1166 trans. If it's so, that's not so hard to wind this choke like 1166.
