Hi Friends
I have all the service manuals with shematics
could anyone help out with photos of the Channelstrip or better the pcbs
the shematics are nearly drawn ready and have to be routed ... pictures of the original will make routing easier
thanks

Well, I have a Neve channel strip of which i believe it's VR series. .  It probably doesn't have that "Neve-Mojo", but the eq is very usable IMHO. The Dynamics section.... well.... I haven't really used that yet. it's a limiter/gate, not a compressor.

I haven't got a picture of it btw.

(Edit : Nevermind. The channelstrip that I have is a 51 series strip, not VR)

Have you added the schematics to the Technical Documents section?  others would be interested to see as well.

Neither are known for sounding good, my limited experience confirms this.

For limiter i'm ok, not my cup of tea too, but eq is really great imho.

Main problem with the parts is one pot using 10k/10k/4,7k if memory serve (or something like that, 3 // decks with 1 different of other 2 values) which is nearly impossible to find or very pricey to make on order.

one deck is used for total recall, we don't need this.

I'm seeing the 3 deck 2*2k2 lin + 10k lin.  The 10K seems to be doing the recall info if I'm looking at it right.  So that means that a 2k2 dual can take care of that, also noticed that they are linear and not rev log like most other designs.  Could this be why some folks don't like the EQ?

Also the only 4k7 Pots I'm seeing are for the Q controls of the mid band and they are a 10K + 4K7. Again the 10K looks to be for the recall.  Again that's how I read it, I maybe wrong. A 5k might be suitable if you cant find a 4k7 around correct?

Where is the triple deck 2*10K+4k7 in the schematic?

I'm gonna have to print these out to be able to follow them properly  :p

I liked the gate and compressor. I like how the hysteresis worked as well . Changes the release threshold from the open thresh, letting the drum ring past its opening level.

the vr, what a piece of crap.... Overly designed and mediocre in sonics. But whatever you wish. I wouldn't mind the eq's, they were o.k. but the dynamics, what a waste

Dont hold back! Tell us what you really think! See, its the eq that i thought was boring. I got to use a lunchbox that sounded better than the vr60 we/ you had/have.

ot.  I think itzs the pots that will be hard to find.
