Hey y'all!
I'm basically new to the whole world of DIY microphones, and I'm just about to jump into my first build, however I do have questions. I want to build a U87 clone centered around the RK-87 capsule from microphone-parts, however, I haven't found a clear answer if the donor mic I want to get, the Behringer B-2 Pro, can fit the D-87L Large PCB from vintagemicrophonepcbkit. I do think the Behringer B-2 (non pro) was compatible, at least according to https://wiki.diyrecordingequipment.com/projects/vintage-u87-condenser-mic-pcb-set/. Does anyone know if this build is possible? Is there also something I should do differently? Please let me know, thank you!!

Hi @arjun
Welcome to GDIY!
There are two body versions of the Behringer B2-PRO, with different internal dimensions.
The older model has a removable head.
It appears that the older model
B2-PRO is mechanically similar to the B2.

Edit:
I recommend that you study the subject a little more before making a decision.
In the B2-PRO body I built u87 clones using the stock capsule, which is a very good 797.
In addition, there are already many useful parts, you only need a transformer with a 9.5:1 ratio and some easily accessible components.
