Here's my new SSL. My first DIY and it works like a dream! Thanks to chef for the PCB's, gyraf for the design and to everyone here for their help along the way.
Thats great! Looking forward to getting my PCB's even more now..... How did you go about the labling and square punches on the front panel, did you use FPD?
Thanks. Actually, it's a dark satin purple face with blue knobs and led. The picture doesn't do it justice. The odd thing I had to do was mount the main board to the top cuz the spacers I had were too tall to bottom mount, but doubling them up made it perfect for a top mount. That's why it looks upside-down (in the guts shot).
Buz - The lettering on the face is old-fashioned rub-on word type. Pain in the keester! The square holes were done with a drill, dremel and a metal jigsaw. Definitely see why many of you feel the case work is the least enjoyable.
stefan - I used THAT2180LC's.
Zee - I hope to see the Calrec soon, too! But, Christmas is close and funds must be spent on other things.....for now.
