Hi. I came across these forums a few days ago and have been drooling over the projects ever since.
I have a EE degree. What that really means is that I have a lot of book knowledge but not a lot of practical application knowledge when it comes to reverse engineering, designing, and building outside of the lab projects from class, arcade control panel I am building and the assorted quick fixes/mods I do. I doubt I will ever be much of a wiz with design but I can assemble a PCB without much worry.
Like most of you my other love is music and recording. I have a project studio. I want good analog sound but I don't want to pay for the logo. That's how I got here. I look forward to reading the posts and picking up more great info. Hopefully I can try some of the projects soon. Thinking of building a mic first. Any other suggestions?
Happy New Year.
