Newark charging sales tax for out of state orders

It's confusing to me.  Perhaps the origin-based thing only applies if you also have nexus in the state you are selling to?

I do not know what the blogs say (it's on the internet so it must be true)...

I fill out a MS state sales tax return every month, and it has a preprinted form that allows me to deduct sales shipped out of state, before calculating taxes due on net (taxable) sales... If this was not legal the form would not show how to do it, and they certainly would have stopped allowing it years ago.

The MS state personal tax return asking for self reported out of state purchases is relatively recent. They just started asking for that a couple years ago and I doubt they get much sales tax revenue volunteered by my typical neighbors. I am not sure it is even legal (probably isn't)

This is not fair to bricks and mortar sellers, but the larger web merchants already collect sales tax... I predict we all will eventually .
