Just here to say hello. I'm a self learner. Anything I can make I'm happy to do so, instead of buying it. There's a lot of good garbage where I'm at and I pick up odds and ends from everywhere. Garbage picking is not something I'm scared about. Isn't it called recycling anyway? Lol. I recently picked up a transformer for a doorbell, and for the most part I don't want to take the green plastic off to find out what's underneath the ribbon. If anybody has any info that would be kind of cool. Everybody on here, just wants to make a transformer for an amp. I'm just trying to learn how to make a doorbell transformer.

Well, this isn't exactly the "doorbell forum," but I bet someone knows! Scavenging is a great way to find some wonderful things -- and there's always a story to tell with it, rather than "I went to the story and bought it." People who are "life-long learners" can accomplish much!
