NOOB (sort ov) SSL compressor?

This is my first post on this forum (just this second joined), and ive always wanted high end gear to mix and master my music.
Im more or less a noob, exept for taking a HND in sound engineering, which involved a cousre in electronics in which i built a simple single stage amp. a few years ago i built a phono pre amp, but its all pretty basic stuff.

Im now looking to build the SSL compressor! ive heard its reletively easy and quite cheap to build.

Im posting to ask for resourses of a step by step guide to building, like a dummies guide to sort of thing. ive visited a site called gyraf (i think, something like that) and the guide seems to hard to follow. so any links or reccomends would be greatly appreciated.

Yea and ill keep you posted on my progress, no doubt ill need help but it looks like im in the right place.

Where did you take your HND ?

If you look at the meta threads,(see just below main header on this page) you will find quite a bit of info for beginners.

I took my HND at Smethwick college near Birmingham. Quite a good place, very well equipped, SSL studio, 3 o2r studios, and 3 broadcast suites.
