Any folks still up in the Bay Area?

Need a restaurant recommendation or two. Doesn’t have to be fancy but should be a place to impress a lady on her birthday. I don’t trust yelp nearly as much as I do the folks here.

Been there before. It's a good option for after diner drinks.

However the Bay Area spans some 60 miles north to south and east to west, so if you can zero in a bit more I can give better pointers.

there are a million choices, and they change every year. hard to go wrong as you have to be good to survive.

Chinatown is hard to beat.

Chef Chu's down the peninsula is fantastic, Los Altos, kind of a drive but no hussle and bustle or smash and grab or valet parker's that use your car to deliver pizza while your eating and thus make extra money while avoiding the impossible task of having to find a parking place, like the guy in North Beach.

I once had excellent Dim Sum on Alemeda. Can’t remember the name though.

One of my go to spots is Mona Lisa for Italian is in north beach. But looking for other options.
