numbered heatshrink

anyone know where I can find Heatshink that has numbers on it? I did a quick search on the internet and all I could find was custom print jobs that could put messages on heatshrink. I am sure there is a company like 3m doing it but couldn't find it.

A bit more "ghetto" but still effective solution is to use ready-made numbered labels and put clear heatshrink over them.

A number of video cables in my facility were numbered this way and the labels held up fine for over 25 years.

That is the way I do it, and so does Whirlwind.

What I like doing is to use clear heatshrink & print small labels that will fit inside. Makes it easy for longer names....

At one installation company I worked for, they sent out their heatshrink for hot stamping, so if we were doing a batch of cables for "ABF Audio", they'd all be marked with their name.

Some of the US Govt contracts we have gotten require all wires to be marked at both ends.

Well, for once the government has it right! I always label at both ends.
