There is some beautiful stuff in that album...

In another of his albums, there is a pacemaker with carbon comp resistors and TO5 transistors (for that vintage feel)  8)

Here's one for the album.

This is a "vibrator" from a B-17 bomber. Aircraft use magneto ignition because there were VERY reliable magnetos. But magnetos do not work well at cranking RPM. There were several tricks (impulse couplers etc), but this plane used a Model T like vibrator to buzz-up a spark at low RPM.

I had a ticket to ride but found some legs sticking out of the side of the engine, and this unit sitting on the table. Looks a lot like a generator regulator, but wired different.
