I just had to find out, that I put the wrong footprint on a new pcb. This makes me sad. Moreso because I think there might be no easy fix in that case.
The Component is a LQFP 80pin chip and I put a footprint that is 2mm larger than the actual chipfootprint (14mm version vs 12mm version). Do you know of any adapter-pcbs or some other hack, that could save my otherwise useless pcb?
(Lesson learned...read all of the datasheet and footprint information always and everytime.)

Thanks, andi

Yup, that's tough.
Good way to check before ordering - print out the pcb at actual size and lay all the components on it. Helps find errors or placements with insufficient spacing

Me; Hello Windows I would like an actual size print from my printer

MS; There you go, a full size A4 print (we can't have you waste any paper)

Me; Sure cool, but it's important that it is the actual design size

MS; Oh you want 4 postcards ?

Me; No I want an actual size print please, do not mess with my dimensions I set in the design software.

MS; There you go, 16 stamps, just like you asked for

Me; no I did not ask for that... @#$%^%$#@@!!!

MS; Sorry can't help you with that request.

@#$%^&^%$#$%^^%!!!!
