...regarding the TL072 and 074 in the SSL. On Kevs list it say : TL072 (LF353) and TL074 (LF347)...does this mean that the TL072 and LF353 are compatible or basically the same?

Yep, they'll work. But don't expect sonic differences (they're at work in the sidechain only)

353 was the first low-price BiFET. TL072 and kin have essentially the same performance but are a much simpler smaller cheaper layout. I remember when 353 was $2.00, the 072 was under a buck (today they are both too cheap to care). In general, I would consider them 99.9% the same... I don't know of any significant difference in spec. Mostly, you find the 353 in older designs when the 072 was not available or not well known.
