Opinions on Soundcraft 500/600

I posted the same question on the Drawing Board, probably not the right place for it... Anyaway, just want to know if these consoles are still worth getting and restoring? If so, what's a reasonable price range?

They are good recording consoles.  I have had 2 s600 consoles,  both are still in service.  The TT patchbay on the s600 is a great addition.
They sound great,  are easily upgradable ( burr browns in all 3 of my soundcrafts ) and have great recording features.


I am currently downsizing and trying to find a new home for a soundcraft s4.  Its like the s600's BIG brother.

A friend of mine does have a few 500s......
Just get all the updates for that one , do think there were 7 of them to do on them.....
Very critical on the flatcable..... and yes a lot of work to do to get them sound great again......
