Me neither. Not sure I'd want to listen to a whole CD of it, but it's def different!

It makes a whole lot more sense in it's natural context.  Search for some real Mongolian or Tuvan throat singing, it can be really hypnotic.

My vocal coach make me do it every class. It help to relief strain in the voice. She do it much clearly than me.

I remember legends that say that Enrico Caruzzo was able to sing two notes at the same time. At that time I thought he was stretching every vocal chord in a different way. It have more sense that was something like this.

Yup, and the root plays an important role here.
Along with the epiglottis. That's the valve that shuts the windpipe when you swallow (so food can't enter it).

when I sing overtones I feel them more like in front of the mouth. you generate the tone with your  vocal chords normaly and then you filter the overtone that you want.  The filter formed by the position of your tongue, mouth and lips.

provably the epiglottis is used on other kind of overtone singing like the Mongolian throat singing.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qx8hrhBZJ98

I was lucky enough to have Glen Velez come to my high school... it was a pretty mind blowing experience...
