Maybe of interest to some bold enough to try taking one of these apart, modding it and putting back together.

I have a couple of 'extras' I might gamble on; have always been curious if they would sound better with a larger and more open front.

Here's a sample photo from the page (curious about that inner ring on the diaphragm):

This always intrigued me - modding the capsules with rolled edge (vide: Line Audio CM4). Taking the apart - no problem. But I imagine that the internal components have to be pressed uniformly circumferiential wise and with certain force. Not too much, obviously, but strong enough. And herein lies the problem - how little is strong enough? Are these leftover prongs (that we see on the photo) sufficient?
From my purely mechanical experience (parapharasing slightly John Wick in "Matrix"): Doubts. Lots of doubts.

I might suppose
that Line Audio has a kind of a bead roller to this end. Anyway I would fashion myself one if I were modding these capsules.
