Yeah, Phil was the dope fiend 
Kinda seemed like he wasnt acting at all , just being his strange self .

I think if you become isolated off from all around you its sometimes easier to start living up to the 'crazy' badge than getting back to where you once belonged , it can end up like a self fulfilling prophecy and a downward spiral thats very difficult to pull out of, if you wind up surrounded by people in a similar frame of mind its all to easy for it to turn into a terminal nose dive.
