A customer has a Philips MD16 in beautiful condition, but of course it has developed a problem. The thing is suffering from motorboating and I need to look into the power supplies which are three modular plug-in cassette types. The documents I have indicate one type of supply but this board is equipped with a different type, # 8222 300 77493, and I'm hoping someone can provide some information about them.

This one sold for over £17k a few months ago. Overpriced or what!!
From 1968, there are no records at Philips.
It is an early analogue machine and should be fairly easy to work on.
Motorboating is usually decoupling capacitor issues.

I thought I'd give this a bump in case it got overlooked. I'm hoping some of you in Europe might have leads to information on Philips. Thanks.

Haven't had the time to read it. And now I know the link works, so thx, Zamproject!

As far as I can tell this 'Binder' is the only Philips MD Series document on the internet. Unfortunately, it does not have any information about the PSU's that are actually in the console I'm servicing.

It turns out the Philips type number I quoted above was actually the number for the circuit board assembly. The correct type number for the whole PSU cassette is #8992 200 91001.

Any suggestions about who might have this kind of information would be wonderful.

Page 115/116 and 117 contain the power supply.
-ve 24v, 35v AC to the bridge rec from the transformer and power input. From 1969 onwards.
