The 3U mics don't need to be modded unless you are a perfectionist who wants to take it to the next level. 

When I started this thread I was just curious what are the best caps for microphones.  I just wanted to know if my 3U mic uses some of the best caps.  Then people suggested the mods and that's how this thread got into modding the mic.
