I just realized I plugged my Tc-Electronic Plethora X5 supposed to work at 9v/600mA on a 12v/1.2A output of my pedalboard PSU......it seems to work fine. Is it a bad idea to keep it on that output at that voltage?

Cheers

More current available is good. Higher-than-specified voltage is so-and-so. Ideally, you'd want to avoid that. On the other hand though, rarely (if ever) are components THAT sensitive to voltage.

They will have used at least 16V-rated capacitors to filter the power, and whatever linear and/or switching regulators are employed inside, will also be rated for at least 15V input voltage (although likely more). They would have had zero motivation or reasoning to use components quite so close to their limits, which would've likely only pushed warranty repairs / replacements through the roof.
