I shall soon be the happy (hopefully:shock:) owner of a V77 tube microphone and I barely have any cash left for a proper shockmount. What are some good cheaply priced or even DIY, classy and expensive looking shockmounts for this MXL V77 tube microphone?

I made some real cheap ones.

Get two of these garden tool clamps. You know these thing that you can screw onto the wall. you push your tool against it and it graps it.
I found some with nice liitle rubber arms
Get a small iron pipe , about the size of an SM 57.
Fix the 2 clamps to the pipe with some screws, about 3 inches apart
et voila you have the most sofisticating schock mount available.

Best of all , it takes all sizes of microphones.

I will post some pictures soon

Please do. It sounds like a nice idea.
