Hi guys!
A friend of mine have bought some lindell lunchbox last year (two 506 and one 503) for his studio.
He have load a 506 with 4x api 512c modules and two little devil pre's (chandler), it should have around 630ma of load.
So should not be a problem for the Lindell psu  since it's sell the 506 with 2A of power (btw the fuse on the main ac it's just 1A and he never changed it), and all the modules used are listed on lindell website has "tested" but here a strange behavior.

Any of the two 506 can't handle 4xapi and 2xlittle devil pre together, they work for a bit then the module n5 (little devil) stop working (tried with the two 506 no change same problem ), you can use module n5 only in DI mode.

I was thinking about some psu problem, so I've take apart one of the two 506 open it pull out the small switch psu and connect instead two home made psu one for the 48v and one for the +-16v (this one is made with a toroidal 2x15 50Va and a LM319/337 "ebay classic chinese board" with bridge rect.

With My psu it's even worst if i load with one 512c the +16 rail drop to 10v and with two 512c drop to 6 and is impossible to use the amps.

What's happening here? On the pcb for power distribution there are only the connectors some tantalum caps and wires for input output xlr's connections so here should be all ok.

What i'm missing?  any suggestion?

Thanks for reading this!

No manufacturer warranty ?
???

Is that a calculation with manufacturer spec OR and actual measurement you made?

it's a calculation made with manufacter spec.
