Question for gyraf

Hi Jakob,

There was a question you asked to Orson when he had trouble with the 1176..whether the voltages at point 7 change when the ratio is changed. Well at that time his answer was yes but my 1176 is not changing any voltages at point 7 (I am measuring from ground to the leg of the 3m9 resistor).

My 1176 is not compressing at all, but audio is passing and input and output pot are working fine... I am asking this because I've checked and rechecked my soldering and I can't find the fault.

Hi Keith,

actually this should preferably be in the large 1176-fix thread..

Does your meter react in GR mode?

Do you have voltage changing at point7 with signal level?

Have you tried tracing signal through the sidechain/rectifier?

no the meter doesn't move to the signal in gr mode it just goes to 0 and stays there...

did'nt check for voltages with signal in at point 7 I'll try that and to trace the signal tonight...
