Hi,

I would like to know about the sound quality of a RCA BC-7 Audio Mixer??...Does anyone have its schematics??

Thanks a lot for any comment

I have the entire manual as a PDF, but it is over 65MB.  I'll see about putting it up on DropBox.
Manual is available for a short time here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/8yaecvjhxhejlvh/RCA-BC-7A-Console-Man.pdf?dl=0

Basically, the preamps are BA-71 types which are great discrete transistor amps with UTC transformers.  Program amps are BA-73, monitor amps BA-74, talkback is BA-78.  The rest of the audio path is mostly wires, switches, and Daven attenuators.

The manual linked above has the original BA-71A with six germanium transistors.  These are very rare.  The more common 4 transistor Ge/Si circuit can be easily found online.

mjrippe thanks a lot, perfect!!

Let me to download it and check it but how about of the sound?;
Have you have the opportunity to characterize its sound quality ??, some comments is this console have noisy sound output, do you?

Thanks again
Opacheco.

I don't have a console, but I have used a lot of the preamps (have a pair for sale in the BM now).  They are really great, thick sounding pres like many of the early transistor classics such as UA 1108, Langevin AM-16, or Altec 9470.
