I got it today from a friend and it wasn´t working:
opening
back side of the motor. You can see three horseshoe magnets touching two pole pieces... Only thing that keeps them in place is magnectic force.
Another view of the magnets.
The riboon was loosy and after I tried to put it in the gap again I just cracked it. :? And there was also a gap that I´ve found later on the insulation of one of the wires from the ribbon clamps to the transformer, so the audio path was shorted to the case.
I´ve tried to get some ribbon material in Brazil before, with no success. So, Does anyone have some to send me? I really think it would be nice to try my hands in my first ribboning exercise.
Anyway, I though some of you would like to see some pics of this famous and very common little mic.
