Hey,
Old Rode capsule found new home in T.Bone SCT 800 with few mods.
no vodka adventures for cleaning just soft paint brush and air blower for camera lenses. No liquid at all.
Did quick test, everything sounds good. nice full body and very smooth top end.
It looks like this circuit tame highs a bit in a good way.
Anyway next week I’ll give them test ride in big recording session.

Thanks!

I just had a new NT1a here and measured it quickly and gave it a listen. It sounds much better than the original version of this mic and capsule, Please ignore below 500hz on the chart. This was just a quick measurement but I trust it above 500hz.

These peaks at 1k and 2k must have to do with the body. I have never seen them in other mics I've tested and I tried changing the capsule with one of my own and the peaks remained.

The grey spray was also an excellent idea. That blue and gold finish on the SCT-800 is horrible
