Hello friends of groupdiy, I am writing to you from Spain to consult a technical failure. I have a pair of Samson Resolv 65a speakers. And one of the speakers after 15 minutes the metal plate overheats a lot, and sometimes it turns off. A friend who knows a little about electronics tells me that the area that gets hot is the transformer area and I would like to ask if you know this type of fault and what do you recommend. I would like to know if it could be the transformer that is failing, thas can happend ?.

Thank you very much in advance for your support.

Failed electrolytic capacitors on the output of the bridge rectifier can draw excessive current and cause overheating.
