To everyone that's ordered an SA-3A Kit, you all may be getting email notifications that your order has shipped, please disregard.

It's just me clearing out the additional orders you all made for T4B's, power xfmr's, etc. from my paypal so I don't have multiple shipping notifications for the same order (which gets very confusing).

I'll be posting here when orders have begun to ship and you'll get an email noticifcation with tracking info at that time.

received my order
thank you

Which project did you receive (I see you are in the USA)?  I thought the kits still hadn't shipped (the shipping confirmation e-mails were sent in error)?

If someone decided to order one now, would you say that they would have to wait for the next batch run or will they receive delivery straight away.

How many of current stock is available now?

All together now:

SA-3A kits are not shipping.  Couple weeks yet.

SB4000's are in stock.  There's about 9 boards or so left & plenty of front panels.

Hello!! I hope you recieved my revised payment for the SB4000 boards ok?
Itching to get this started!!
I really want to design my own front panel but yours is so clean im not sure now.

Hey Mike,

I wrote to you a couple of days ago regarding change of address for delivery of the SA-3A kit. Did you receive the email?

Hope you see it before you ship the packages.  ;)

Got the SB4000 PCB's and Front Panel.  Looks nice!!!  Just need ptown's component kit/chassis now  :D

Are you still looking on-track for the SA3A full monty packages?

Does the SB4000 work with dbx202(Black Can) as well as 202x's?

What VCA would have been in an SSL 4k?

Yup, sure does:

Provisions are all there, you can drive the CV line direct by installing a jumper, however for best performance of the black cans you'll want to buffer the CV line with an opamp (which is there but it's under the shadow of the can), so if you go this route you'll have to raise the dbx202 off of the board a little so you can install the opamp underneath.  If you look at the schematic, it shows what I'm talking about.

Original SSL used gold cans.

What about That 2002? I'm sure it's possible to figure out this combination by searching the forum, but if you have an idea about it please let me know  ;)

What about the 202x (VCA Array)?

Or "Gold Can"'s

Can you clarify the config for these please?

The boards will work and have the provisions for THAT2180/81, DBX202 Gold and Black Cans.

Anything other than that is not confirmed.  Whatever works with the GSSL would also work with my version, but as to the required value changes and other adjustments, your guess is as good as mine.  All I can suggest is to search the forum and see what luck others have had with using these other VCA's.

Just got the front and PCBs for the SB4000, they look very  very nice  :)

Best Regards

Nikolaj

Added shipping insurance to my SA-3A order.

Looking forward to a great project!
