Received my SA-3A kit, looks great! I'm looking forward to the build docs!

Awesome.  Just FYI to you and everyone else, won't be a formal build doc for a couple weeks, I'm waaaaay too backed up right now to get to it.  I'll have some written instructions and a few picks up on the support thread hopefully by tomorrow, will be enough to get everyone going, this is a real easy build.

Got my SA-3A kit today.  Arrived nice and safe.  Very nice! (as expected  :D )  I've got plenty of other projects to keep me busy for weeks - but the SA-3A does look like a simpler build - so the simple instructions and pics should be more than sufficient to get me going.

Thanks Mike!

Yea, and hopefully they don't decide to take a peak and mess up my nice packing job  ;D

They did with the Sb4000 package. I don't think they really knew what it was, the box was resealed with a "customs-tape" (so I assume they opened it), but none of the inner packages were touched.

Got my SA-3A kit yesterday, nice packing job. I can't wait to get this bad boy running. My next few weekends are booked.

Does this mean there's only one SA-3A left in stock?

I might have to buy it just on principal alone.  ;D

vineyardgray / songguy - Payments received, thank you, just pleased be advised boards will not be in until the end of the month.  You 2 are first on the wait list though.

moogah - I have not received any email from you (that I know of anyways).  Please verify you are emailing the correct address - [email protected]

vineyardgray (and anyone else interested) - There are still 2 stereo SA-3A full kits available and 2 matched pairs of T4B's still available as well.  There are a number of people inquiring about them.  I'll have more SA-3A kits available at the end of the month, but I will not be restocking T4B's.

funkmuffin - Yes I have tons of faceplates.  If you want one, please email me your address so I can figure out what shipping will be.

I'm still in the process of building the sa3a but I'm thinking about my next project. The sb4000 seems like a solid choice, but I'm wondering if anyone has had a chance to compare it to the waves ssl buss comp and/or the urs 1980? I own and use both quite a bit but I'm not quite happy how either handle transients. I feel that way about most itb comps but I digress...

Im in process of testing mine now and im more than happy!
I use the waves emulation sometimes but find it useless unless its on the highest threshold, 2:1, slowest attack and fastest release otherwise it just deadens stuff if you know what i mean.
The sb4000 is completely different. You can achieve a more cleaner sound when turning down threshold but still get that overly glued sound on a 10:1 ratio.
Plus the sidechain is incredible.
Its more of a tool than the waves one. I could use the sb4000 on drums, vox, parrallel buses the lot. Id say its better than the plugin hands down.
But being a DIY project, no two will be identical.
I highly recommend it. Rukus worked haaaaard ro achieve this and it gets my vote.
But thats jus my opinion and im sure many (with nothing better to do) will disagree.
