Hi,

I've been searching through the forum a lot today looking for info on signal generators. I looking to get something simple and hopefully inexpensive. I found this hand held on Electronix Express:

http://www.elexp.com/tst_105.htm

Does anyone have experience with this unit? Does it seem like it would be a good option for 1.Calibrating an analog delay 2. calibrating a G1176?

Or is there a better option?

I can create tones in protools and burn them to CD but actually don't have a portable CD player and would have to make some leads...for the money this seems worth it.

Any opinions?

Thanks again,

Mike

Frequency Range:
x 1-20Hz to1.5KHz
x 100-2KHz to150 KHz
23 frequency steps
Output Control: 0 db, -20 db and fine adjust
Output Impedence: 600 ohms +10%
Output Voltage: 1.2 rms max. (no load)
Maximum Distortion:
200 Hz to 15KHz -0.05% (THD)
50 Hz to 30 HKz -0.1% (THD)
20Hz to 100HKz -0.5% (THD)

for portable yes otherwise not really--looks dodgy
for benchtop model look on ebay or okgb has one @B.M.
I've also got an extra function generator if you like--does better than "1.2 rms max." whatever that is

Yeah I'm starting to think I can get a real signal/function generator for about the same on ebay with a little luck and patience. (Old HP)

I'll PM you about your extra function generator.

Thank you!

Mike
