Hi guys,

I am looking for a couple of metres of triaxial cable that is less than about 4.5 mm in diameter.

I can find the Belden stuff which is around 6.5 mm, but it is too thick for the connectors. Does anyone know a source?

Thanks

Stewart

be careful with that stuff,

a lot of it has hi leakage C between the conductors,

not good for stereo signals due to cross talk and hi end loss,

you can measure it next to regular coax,

just get 3 feet of each and put your cap checker on it,

measure the pf between ground and the conductors, etc,

Thanks CJ,

In fact it is for an electrometer probe. The inner shield is held at the same potential as the probe tip, to stop leakage. The outer shield is ground.

Cheers!

so is this like a single conductor with shields on both the inside and outside of the conductor?

:)

Here's the belden 9222 stuff that seems to be 'industry standard'.

But the 9222 is much too thick and stiff for my application. (!)

There is skinny stuff out there - I have a one inch length that came attached to an old connector.

Thanks!

every time we go to AES, we load up the overcoat with mogami samples, belden samples, back and forth, back and forth, only person to give us heat was eve anna from manley,  :D

the only stress is the obnoxious white boy in the sony booth with the wireless mic trying to sell a 50,000 board, get me?  all digital, yukka,

you need to visit AES, free THAT chips too!
