hi there,

i finally started building my ms4, almost finished.

i broke the germanium diode while bending a leg. does anybody know, which value it is? only have a buildguide, no schematic...and quinto seems busy, no answer yet...

while we're at it. what fuse did you use? 0.3A or 0.5A? the trafos max. draw is 380mA.

Hi Joekkel,

I use a 0.3 A fuse and it blew up once. Still sticking to it though, don't have a 0.5A lying around.

this would be great. a hi-res pic  of the lower right corner of the pcb. where the glass-diode sits. maybe i could read the marking. the marking on my brokeb diode is completely gone...

It's hard to take useful pictures, there is a lot of wires

thx to everyone who tried to help! quinto was so kind to send dhl to pick my unfinished compressor up and is going to finish it! i guess there's a reason, he's not selling them as kits anymore. too much support-work etc... nonetheless i'm excited  ;D
