Hi guys,

I'm new to the forum. Truly a valuable source of information.

I want to build a small eclosure to house 2-4 size 1A Danner EQ and comp modules. Nothing fancy, don't need phantom power or phase switch naturally. The racks I see online sell for twice what I would pay for the modules themselves, and it always seemed relatively simple to build a simple enclosure out of either wood or metal, connect a psu and xlr's etc.

The problem is that this will be my first diy project, and I'd love to get some pointers.

where can I get the right measurements for such a box?
what would be a suitable psu? can I use an external one?
for line level material, what would be a good combo for a channel strip box? eq/comp + line amp? fader?
anything else I need to take into consideration?

Thank you.

here's an example of what I'm looking for, though with 1B size modules:
