Hi all, have recently been working on a browser-based pattern library alongside Ableton.

Using the webmidi library, the app listens for MIDI triggers passed from an active Ableton Live session. This MIDI information is passed into a localhost session where attributes such as channel, note velocity, and note-length are used to compose active modules & on-screen animations.

Here's a recent example of some stuff I've been drafting with it.

Would love to find out if anyone in here is using similar technologies?

Big ups

Sweet. That could be useful for a lot of things. Obviously it could be used for some kind of audio visual performance (as you did in your video) as opposed to just playing some video in the background. But I could also see this being used to create a more reactive presentation to students, at a conference or in a business meeting as opposed to just hitting the space bar to trigger the next slide.

This looks cool!

I'd been wondering there was a way to build a NodeJs app to listen for MIDI messages from my DJ mixer to trigger visuals/lighting/smoke machine/bubbles/farts/etc...
