Does any one have a schematic for the input modules on the Sound Techniques A Range desk used at Trident, etc?

The records done on this desk are some of my favorite sounding ever... I like them over records done on the later Trident A Range.

the closest i have is some of the preamp pcb scans.
if u have the patience and know how its possible yo suss the circuit out.
its something ive been meaning to do but havent got round to it yet.
ill look for the scans and post them but you will need to be patient as its manic round here at the moment.

The sound techniques desk was used in their mix room and was a 20 channel IIRC.

Geoff frost is making the sound techniques stuff these days  although I don't know much about it and from what I have been told, it's close to the originals.  I don't know I never heard the new ones and the original I only heard on records I like. If you ask me, lou reed  or David bowie could have had two tin cans and a string and their stuff would still be awesome to me. As much as I hate to say it, having the gear only gets you so far the magic is in the moment with the musicians and songs. The gear is just helping getting you there, without the musicians and the songs, no amount of gear will help you....

Here is a link, maybe geoff frost might shed some light on this subject and be able to get you something to look at.

Agreed 100% about the players and arrangements, and also that room.

Also I bet a lot of the Sound Techniques sound has to do with the choices the 2 band eq forced you into.

I'm mostly interested to compare the topology to other early transistor stuff EG Helios, Quad 8, etc. The nice Helios thread going on in the Drawing Board has my curiosity piqued..

I sent Mr. Frost an email yesterday and invited him to come share here if he wants to. I think he's posted here before.
