I think the bearing/bushing is something like this with a 3/4" inside diameter: https://www.zoro.com/bunting-bearings-flanged-bearing-id-34-l-34-pk3-ef121412/i/G3915965/

That means, if we can find an XLR insert that's 3/4" on the outside, it should slide right into that bushing.

Something like this would work except that by the time you cut off the square part, I think the remaining material would be too short and the XLR pins would poke out a little bit: https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/switchcraft-inc/DE3M/4863754

I’ll have to go get a 1” OD of copper pipe and measure the inside to see which one might work best.

Ah, I'm 99% sure it's an Amphenol XLR Male to Male adapter: https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/amphenol-audio/AC3M3MBW/10443763

Bonus, you get 2 XLR inserts from one part.

You can also see a tray of cut ones behind their chop block saw.

So, you basically need a corresponding Flanged Sleeve Bearing and half of one of these Amphenol XLR adapters to make a nice finished end in a 1" copper pipe.

Ah, I'm 99% sure it's an Amphenol XLR Male to Male adapter:: .

Insert held by a screw, 19 mm (3/4") dia and even nice grooves indicating where to cut. Very thoughtful of Amphenol.
